Lorissa
Harris, the 17 year old daughter of Todd Harris and
Linda Rest of Shepherd, was named Miss Teen Rodeo
Montana 2007 in front of a crowd of 100 at the Great
Falls Hampton Inn Sunday morning. Along with
the title, Harris swept all of the category awards,
including the Style Show Award, Photogenic Award,
Speech Award, Horsemanship, Personality, Appearance,
and Projection & Presentation. Alyson
Grinestaff Red Lodge of Kalispell was named 1st
Runner Up.
Contestants competed for four
days in a rigorous competition involving horseback
riding; giving a 3-minute speech on the State of
Montana, modeling in a Style Show, answering
impromptu questions, and being interviewed privately
by the judges. Judges for the contest were
Mike Lorash of Fishtail, MT; Jeanine Shepard of
Manhattan, MT; and Suzanne Brownell of Wyarno,
Wyoming.
Lorissa succeeds Audrey Sholty,
18, from Missoula.
Lorissa currently attends

the American Quarter Horse Association. Two of
her favorite sports are tennis and golf. She
also enjoys showing reining horses, skiing, and
trail riding with her mother. She has
held the title of Miss Rodeo State Fair for
2005-2006, Miss Dillon Jaycee Princess 2004-2005,
was the Montana Angus Queen for 2005-2005, and

greatest ambition is to one day represent Montana as
Miss Rodeo Montana.
