Fur Commission USA represents mink farming families, works to ensure superior standards of animal husbandry through our own certification program, educates the public about responsible fur farming and the merits of fur.
The National Trappers Association is a conservation organization dedicated to the perpetuation of sound furbearer management programs, while protecting wildlife habitat.
The Fur Institute of Canada includes membership from all sectors of the fur trade, native groups, various government departments, conservation and animal-welfare organizations. The Institute administers the current multimillion dollar trap research and development program, as well as assisting in the coordination of trapper-training programs. The Institute also provides information about the fur trade, trap research and conservation to the public, in Canada and abroad.
The International Fur Federation (IFF) is the voice of the fur trade.
Formed over 60 years ago, it protects the fur trade’s interests, promotes innovation and high standards and presents a factual image of the fur industry. The IFF represents 42 national fur trade associations and organizations from 35 countries. Members are drawn from the entire fur supply chain: farmers, trappers, auction houses, merchants, brokers, buyers, dressers and dyers, designers, manufacturers, wholesalers, marketing organizations and retailers.
In addition to the national member associations’ offices, there is the IFF HQ in London and subsidiary offices in Beijing and Brussels. The Brussels office is jointly operated with the European Fur Breeders Association.
