Miss Rodeo Montana
Montana's First Lady of Rodeo
As the arena dust begins to settle from the PRCA circuit finals, I thought it would be a good time to introduce myself. My name is Amber LaCross and I am your Miss Rodeo Montana 2024!
Just to know a little bit about me, I’m a fifth generation Montanan. I grew up ranching on the north end of the Bridger Mountains and it’s where my passion for the western way of life started. I love to be on the back of a horse whether I’m moving cows or team roping - even if I miss!
I graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and I hope to continue my education by pursuing a masters in Child Development. I have a love and passion for teaching whether it be for small preschoolers, college students, or kids taking riding lessons.
If you don’t find me at a rodeo or at the ranch, you will find me either teaching, working with horses, roping, hunting, or spending time with friends and family.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without my family, sponsors, and support team. You all mean the world to me. I cannot wait for the year ahead with my lovely teen, Rachel Lowitt, by my side. Let’s rodeo, Montana!

Because of this, I want to give back to the western way of life and what it has done for me. It would be an incredible honor to be an advocate for what rodeo and agriculture stands for and having the opportunity to be in a position to share what| love so much with others. I want to be the next Miss Rodeo Montana because it is the best way I know how to give back to the sport of rodeo, the western way of life, agriculture, and my community. It would be an achievement of a lifetime.
Greetings from the beautiful Bitterroot Valley Montana. I am Rachel Lowitt, your 2024 Miss Teen Rodeo Montana! I recently graduated from Corvallis High School with honors in Agriculture Education as well as a State Degree in FFA. Now being out of high school I work full time doing clerical work at a medical practice and part time at a local ranch.
I have dedicated my time to all things agriculture, horses and leadership. I was an active member of 4H for ten years, showing livestock, horses, and competing in shooting sports. I was also successful in four years of FFA. I competed in career and leadership development events and qualified for nationals in 2022. I held officer positions for two years including Reporter and Vice President.
While I stay busy, I find plenty of time to get in the arena. You can find me running barrels or in the cutting pen.
I am ecstatic to fill the roles as Miss Teen Rodeo Montana and am eager to travel around the state meeting new people and growing as a person. I hope to leave an impact of positivity with those I meet.

When asked why she wants to become Miss Teen Rodeo Montana, she states: "Miss Teen Rodeo Montana is a role for a young lady who aspires to be an ambassador of the sport of rodeo and our western heritage. With my love for public speaking and all things rodeo, I would use this title to inform and educate the public about the sport as well as agriculture. I would truly value the opportunity to travel around the beautiful state of Montana that I proudly call my home of eighteen years. I want to correspond with other Montana Rodeo Royalty and lend a helping hand. Being able to travel opens up the possibilities for me to experience how other rodeo associations operate and to get a more intimate perspective on local communities and the qualities unique to them. Whether they be big or small, they all contribute to Montana's western culture. I want to use my strengths to benefit the agriculture industry and all it encompasses, gain knowledge and strengthen my skills in areas I am lacking. The miss Teen Rodeo Montana title will undoubtedly provide experiences that will set me up tor success in my future career and personal life.
